Abstract
Reality capture technology is an emergent field within computer graphics, which includes techniques such as 3D scanning, performance capture, and photo sampling. My creative research thesis work explores emerging reality capture technologies and how they impact our perception and representations of reality. I mainly focus on Photogrammetry, a type of low cost 3D scanning, which is becoming more widely used in games and animation. My research sets out to explore these tools with the goal of finding ways they can be adopted into an experimental creative practice.
