Abstract
An exploration of the United States federal governments' position on cultural policy, and of possible models that could be successfully adopted. Considers two opposing views: economic cultural policy (market regulation of culture approach), and the cultural democracy (cultural diversity) approach of Don Adams and Arlene Goldbard.
