This study presents a sustainable approach for the production of adipic acid through the electrochemical oxidation of cyclohexanone. This process aims to replace traditional nitric acid oxidation, offering a pathway with lower greenhouse gas emissions and potential integration with renewable electricity sources. The project investigates key reaction conditions, separation strategies, and process efficiencies relevant to the development of an industrially practical method.
