Abstract
A study on national and international philanthropy and development trends for non-profit organizations. Includes a comparison of non-profit organizations and how they fund-raise nationally and internationally. The thesis shows how the United States has developed its own model of philanthropy over time, and how other countries around the world are seeking to mimic this model, as their own cultural ministries are depleted and their government funding is cut.
