Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to create awareness about the association between the symptoms of depression and anxiety with the increased time spent on social media amongst young adults. With the frequent exposure to highly curated, unrealistic portrayals on social media, people may feel that they are living more socially isolated lives in comparison to the happier ones portrayed on their social platform feed. Due to social media platforms being predominantly viewed through smartphones and my skill-set with illustration and design, it was decided that a digital comic book format would be the most ideal for developing a narrative on this subject matter.
