Organizations Arts Federal level Lobbying tactics Arts--Management
The primary purpose of this assessment is to examine the types of lobbying tactics and their frequency of use by Americans for the Arts and the Sierra Club, and to identify a set of differences between the practices and structures of each organization. This study will use the Sierra Club as a comparison in order to provide Americans for the Arts with recommendations on how to strengthen and expand its current tactics. It will identify current tactics, both grassroots and inside, that Americans for the Arts and the Sierra Club use in a national forum. Though the study will examine lobbying tactics on the federal level, some national actions filter up and down through state and local efforts, so these incidences will be included in the final assessment of national policies and actions.
