Abstract

The previous uses of the exponentially modified Gaussian (EMG) model in chromatography are briefly reviewed. A method for evaluating the EMG function and a set of algorithms for obtaining universal data are presented and are shown to be simpler and easier to use than those previously reported. The corresponding BASIC program, EMG-U, listed in Appendix A is briefly discussed.
