A distribution free test for major gene differences in quantitative inheritance
Mathematical biosciences, v 14(1), pp 143-150
1972
Abstract
In this paper a new statistical test is proposed for detecting major gene differences in quantitative inheritance. It is based on the Smirnov distribution free test and may be used to detect single gene differences between two inbred lines using data from parental,
F
1,
F
2 and backcross generations. An application of the test is demonstrated using data from previously published experiments on the genetic control of specific antibody production.
