Abstract
A semiclassical treatment of laser-induced atomic fluorescence for the alkali-dimer systems Na
2
, K
2
and NaK is presented. The variation of the fluorescence intensity with the frequency of the exciting laser photon is studied and a comparison of theoretical results with a set of experimental data is presented.
