ABORTION CLINICS AND WAITING ROOM MEN: SOCIOLOGICAL INSIGHTS
Journal of the Washington Academy of Sciences, Vol.91(1), pp.41-54

Abstract
About half of women undergoing abortion procedures in dedicated clinics are accompanied by a male. Surveys of and interviews with such "waiting room males" indicate that this offers a unique opportunity for counseling and educational services that could be beneficial for both male and female abortion participants and possibly help reduce the need for future abortions.
