Abstract

Job satisfaction Nurses Quality of care Work ethic
Donnelly talks about the value of self-care and accepting help in the nature of her job as a nurse. According to her, accepting help is a powerful form of self-care and she knows that she can do better, especially upon seeing the opportunity to lessen one's load. She's learning that self-care is not achieved in splendid isolation--it is a 2-way street and the reciprocity that accrues from accepting help is like money in life's bank.
