Association Between State and Local Government Expenditures and Infant Mortality in the U.S
Annals of epidemiology, v 49, pp 76-76
Sep 2020
Abstract
It is not uncommon for faculty to change roles and/or institutions throughout their careers.1 The impetus for such change may include new growth opportunities, dissatisfaction with the current role and/or institution, personal circumstances, or a combination thereof. This manuscript shares a pragmatic approach to considering new career opportunities oriented around the “4 Rs” developed by the authors and informed by the available literature: “Right Opportunity, Right Team, Right Resources, Right Time (Table).” By considering opportunities through this lens, faculty can ensure they are metaphorically climbing the ladder rather than falling off the cliff when navigating career transitions.
