The subfamily Pteroplistinae (Gryllidae) is expanded to include members of the subfamily Landrevinae of Gorochov. The subfamily, which is restricted to southeast Asia and the western Pacific region as far as Fiji, is now comprised of two tribes (Pteroplistini and Landrevini), 29 genera and 73 species. Here 13 new genera and 31 new species are described. Evidence is given of a close relationship between the subfamilies Pteroplistinae and Oecanthinae.
