Abstract

Delirium Mortality Patients
Decreased exposure to sunlight is thought to mitigate development of delirium and current architectural guidelines for new ICU construction require windows in patient rooms. Results: A total of 127 patient charts were analyzed in this retrospective study. 84 patients were in windowed rooms and 43 were in windowless rooms. 35% of patients presented to the MICU with coma.
