CBD and Other Alternative and Complimentary Medication Use in Singers

Abstract
Alternative and complementary medicines including cannabidiol (CBD) are used commonly by singers. Unfortunately, the manufacturer of many such products is not regulated. Even when the product is of high quality, effects on the voice have not been studied extensively. It is helpful for singing teachers to be familiar with as much information as possible on these substances in order to counsel their students well and recognize possible side effects that might interfere with singing.
