Abstract

Allergy Immunology Life Sciences & Biomedicine Science & Technology

Heterologous antisera to adult rabbit tissues (lens, heart and cornea) proved as cytotoxic to cultured cells from these and other organs which were derived from fetal rabbits (13 to 26 days gestation), as they were to cultures derived from post-natal and adult rabbits. With these antisera to adult organs, the same restricted patterns of tissue susceptibility and resistance to the immune cytotoxic effects as had been found previously with post-natal and adult derived cells, were encountered with embryonic cell cultures.
