Abstract

Congenital heart disease Congenitally corrected transposition of the great vessels Constrictive pericarditis
Clinical, angiocardiographic, and necropsy data in a case of congenitally corrected L-transposition of the great vessels complicated by constrictive pericarditis are described. Isolated cases of constrictive pericarditis superimposed on congenital heart lesions have been reported and are rare; however, a coexistence with corrected transposition has not been previously reported to our knowledge. These disorders were demonstrated concurrently with angiocardiography in our patient and confirmed on pathologic examination.
