Abstract
Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases among pregnant women. Asthma prevalence and severity are disproportionately higher in an inner-city population with race, socioeconomic status and outdoor pollutants such as ozone particulate matter (PM) potentially contributory. We aimed to define the epidemiology of severe asthma exacerbations in our urban population. [1st paragraph]
