Clinical studies in neurology in Germany

Abstract
In November 2002 the German Neurological Society organised a first meeting to discuss clinical studies of neurological diseases in Germany. Current and future aspects of clinical studies including problems of organization and funding, ethical and legal topics were discussed by clinical experts, lawyers, the pharmaceutical industry and federal institutions. This article presents the status quo of clinical neurological studies in Germany and summarizes the key features presented at this meeting.
