Abstract
A review of the literature on the community-based treatment & management of people acquitted of criminal offenses by reason of insanity in the US 1976-1992. Most studies have come from Ill, Md, & Ore, but additional information is available from Calif, Conn, Fla, NY, & Okla. The findings of 21 studies are summarized, & their implications discussed in the context of the principles of community-based forensic treatment. 1 Table, 38 References. Modified AA
