Abstract
State and federal legislation shape US health policy, and much of this work occurs within legislative health care committees, where bills are introduced, amended, rejected, or advanced to the full chamber for debate and voting.1 Given these committees’ impact on policy priorities, understanding their demographic composition offers insight into potential influences on health policy decision-making.2-4
