DES Daughter: The Joyce Bichler Story. Joyce Bichler
Women & health, v 9(4)
31 Dec 1984
Abstract
DES Daughter is a gripping book. It is the autobiography of a young adult woman's experiences within two major American institutions -- medicine and law -- and her struggle to control her destiny in the face of these institutions. It is also about her experience of illness, about the social and emotional aspects of living through and recovering from cancer brought about by her exposure to a synthetic substance.
