Abstract
Autoimmune hepatitis is a progressive chronic inflammatory liver disease of unknown etiology. The diagnosis and classification is based on histologic abnormalities and the presence of abnormal serum autoantibodies and globulins.(1,2) We report the case of a patient with systemic-onset juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) who developed type I-autoimmune hepatitis while receiving etanercept, a tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-blocker.
