Abstract
We substitute a few parts per million of
57
Co
for Ni. The Mössbauer spectra of
HoNi
2(
57
Co)
B
2
C
reveal the presence of two components, one of which is truly metallic as indicated by delocalization of 3d electrons. In the other component, the electrons are delocalized to a lesser extent. The relative ratio of the components can vary from sample to sample.
