Abstract
BCG-stimulated rabbit alveolar macrophages exposed to 100 percent oxygen in vivo for 48 to 72 hours showed an increased rate of glycolysis and increased lactatepyruvate ratio without electronmicroscopic alterations or depression of phagocytosis. These changes occurred relatively late in the spectrum of pulmonary oxygen toxicity.
