Abstract

Pulmonary artery (PA) blood flow recordings by Doppier echocardiography have been used to estimate PA pressure 1,2 and calculate cardiac output. 3 Peak velocity and time to peak velocity (TPV) measurements of PA flow, however, may vary with different views, transducer or beam angulation and sampling sites. 4,5 We examined the effect of sampling site of pulsed mode Doppler on the PA blood flow characteristics.
