Abstract
Numerical simulations are used to study behavior of energy losses in the dipolar random coercivity interacting switch model. It is demonstrated that switching losses are not only due to inherent properties of individual switches, but also contain an excess contribution resulting from their interactions. Furthermore it is demonstrated that the losses are not necessarily the same along different branches of nonsymmetric minor hysteresis loops. This conclusion contradicts the results obtained on the basis of the Preisach hysteresis model.
