Abstract

Anesthesiology Life Sciences & Biomedicine Science & Technology
By avoiding use of neuromuscular blocking agents, regional anesthesia techniques may allow safer care of patients with myasthenia gravis. We describe a patient who had myasthenic crisis after foot surgery during spinal anesthesia. Lactate released on deflation of bilateral tourniquets constituted the most likely cause of the exacerbation. (c) 2007 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
