Abstract
Many states have rules or regulations that require the nursing programs to have written policies outlining the requirements for graduation and to implement those policies as written. [...]in some states, using an exit examination without a written policy could be a violation of the state rules or regulations related to nursing education. [...]educators and regulators have the same goal: graduating safe and competent nurses in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of the public.
