Abstract
Growing concern over the need to educate for a global perspective has resulted in a paradigm shift in many academic institutions around the world. In making that shift, however, it is essential to determine students' current knowledge & perception of world issues to successfully implement educational change. This paper reports on the findings of a questionnaire administered to three classes of first-year students at International Christian U in Tokyo, Japan. The questionnaire aims at identifying students' knowledge, attitudes, & perceptions of world conditions, aspects that may prove valuable for teachers committed to educating for global citizenship. 1 Appendix, 7 References.
