Abstract

Presents applications of heuristic game equilibrium. Argues that a particular class of games, heuristic coordination games, define structure thought of as objective social constraints, eg. the existence and function of the state, language communities, monetary communities, and some customary norms of behaviour. Offers an hypothesis for the existence of what is perceived as objective social constraints on individual action.
