Higher Education in the Future Tense: Taking Futuristics to School
World futures review, v 6(1), pp 5-14
Mar 2014
Abstract
Establishing a college or university Center for Futures Studies (CFS) could help set a campus proudly apart from and above competitors in the increasingly crowded world of Higher Education. It could generate a new class of vitally needed graduates—masters of the “art of the long view.” It could enrich the lives of faculty, students, and the entire community—both now and far into tomorrow. Higher Education belongs in the future tense, and a CFS can help point the way.
