Abstract
Donnelly presents an excerpt from her graduation address that identifies several lessons for holistic nursing practice. Some of those lessons she mentioned include asking for help if someone is standing at nurse's counter or in the hall waiting to be acknowledged; listening to family members; and not telling patients and families how busy nurses are.
