This paper describes the effort of an ASCE-EWRI Technical Committee on Low Impact Development Computational methods to advance understanding of green stormwater control measures (SCM) and how they can be simulated in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models. The paper includes an introduction in which the motivation for this effort is described, followed by methods section in which our collaborative approach to eliciting the input of many different modelers working with many different models is described. Next a "problem statement" is presented as offered as a baseline set of conditions within which to discuss the capabilities, strengths, and weaknesses of different H&H models. The paper concludes with a timeline and the expected outcome of the overall effort: publication of a green SCM modeling guidebook that will be timely and useful for modelers working in private practice, academia, or government.
