Abstract
Superlatives can be so overused as to become meaningless. However, when one thinks of Dr. Irving J. Selikoff, superlatives in their true sense must be considered. No other person dominated the field of occupational and environmental medicine as did Dr. Selikoff and few have had influence as he had over such an extended period of time. [1st paragraph]
