Abstract
We summarize results for surface reaction rate constants and diffusion coefficients obtained for Fe-doped SrTiO
3 by different techniques, and report on novel results derived from permeation experiments (chemical relaxation). This technique is particularly well-suited to investigate surface and bulk kinetics without auxiliary phases (e.g., electrodes) in a single experiment. The measured diffusion coefficients are in excellent agreement with values predicted from defect chemical modelling. The surface rate constants are less precisely understood but fit into the major trends inferred from previous measurements.
