Abstract
Like the field of law and psychology itself, Psychology in Litigation and Legislation (see record 2006-08258-000) contains works that are, variously, descriptive (Miller; Cascio), polemic and advocacy oriented (Blackman), translations of law for psychologists (Melton and Cascio), translations of psychology for those in law (Ceci), weighted toward the practitioner (Miller), and rich in research germane to making sense of legal dilemmas (Ceci). As another example of the maturation of law and psychology as an academic, scholarly, and practical discipline, this text is a welcome addition to the literature and provides an interesting comparison to the 1983 volume on the topic. For a full-course, integrated gourmet meal, one will have to look elsewhere. But this volume is a tempting smorgasbord.
