Abstract
Critics of the standard interpretation of human rights have attacked it for being too concerned with political protections, and attacked the new interpretation, which includes economic, cultural, and social rights, as being too concerned with the rights of individuals rather than the rights of groups. Oestreich addresses how the rights of groups can be integrated into the new interpretation of human rights.
