Abstract
This paper presents the findings of a longitudinal study that examines the effects of an early childhood intervention strategy which uses a technological and computer-based approach. The SCILS (Self Controlled Interactive Learning Systems) program at the Early Childhood Center at Drexel University appears to have had a positive long term effect on the students' learning, specifically the reading and reading comprehension scores of subjects through the ninth grade level.
