Managing the Low Vision Patient in the Private Practice
Clinical and experimental optometry, v 65(1), pp 22-28
01 Jan 1982
Abstract
ABSTRACT The article provides a brief description of a series of diagnostic tests that can be used in the busy private practice to obtain meaningful clinical data for the occasional low vision patient seen. It gives direction to the busy clinician who is suddenly confronted with a patient who cannot obtain 6/6 (20/20) best corrected vision. If used correctly it will give the primary clinician the experience and confidence needed to expand his/her work in low vision or the knowledge of how to make an accurate referral to a low vision centre.
