Measuring the Difficulty of Reference Questions

Abstract
A project was undertaken to develop a measure of differing levels of difficulty of reference questions handled by the California interlibrary reference referrel network and to identify indicative measures that would reliably stand for the concept of difficulty. Correlations of predicted difficulty and actual difficulty are discussed.
