Abstract

VIDICONS POLYNOMIALS CALIBRATION RESPONSE FUNCTIONS IMAGE INTENSIFIERS PERFORMANCE IMAGE TUBES
We have linearized the output of a silicon intensified target vidicon as a function of input illumination by use of a cubic polynomial with coefficients which vary according to spatial position. The need for this procedure and its effectiveness are described.
