Abstract
Model field-tested innovations in new uses by labor of computer power are highlighted, the better to underline their strategic value in helping labor reinvent itself. Four matters are explored-Servicing Members; Improving Education; Enriching Communications; Augmenting Power-each one linked to the other. Attention is paid to indifference, fear, and opposition in the belief that reflection on actual accomplishments may help critics soon modify their negative views. Above all, innovators are hailed for their courage, creativity, and significant contribution.
