On the stability of steadily propagating bands of chemotactic bacteria

Abstract
It is shown that the dynamical equation for the evolution and propagation of plane-symmetric bands of chemotactic bacteria guarantees that the steadily propagating band solutions are completely stable with respect to physically admissible small perturbations in the bacterial cell density and chemotactic agent distributions.
