Abstract
Phase relations in RE-Ba-Cu-O systems and compositionally induced structural changes in RE1+xBa2-xCu3Oz (RE=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu) were studied. New "anomalous" examples of disordered low-T-c "quasicubic" NdBa2Cu3O7 and superstructural ordered orthorhombic Nd2BaCu3O7 were analyzed on the base of behavior of Cu-O, Nd-O and Nd-Cu polyhedra to explain physical properties of RE-containing superconducting materials.
