Phase noise characteristics of mmic based ilo for Ka-band applications
Journal of the Franklin Institute, v 336(1), pp 33-42
1999
Abstract
Injection-locking results are presented for MMIC based oscillator at 19.3 GHz. A large locking range and low FM noise degradation are observed for the injection-locked local oscillator (ILO) using the fundamental and 4th subharmonic injection locking. The impact of a large subharmonic locking range on the phase noise degradation of the ILO is discussed from a system level point of view.
