Practice Concepts — A Practice Concepts Symposium on Drug Misuse in the Elderly: Examination of a Case History Introduction and Case History of Mr. S
The Gerontologist, v 26(6), pp 595-598
Dec 1986
Abstract
Addressed in this symposium were issues of drug misuse in the elderly by focusing on an actual case of an older man and the care he received. Papers encompassing a variety of disciplinary perspectives included identification of many specific problems, as well as of many general areas of concern. Although all the authors were in some respects critical of the care provided, most concluded that Mr. S received better care overall than most older people can expect to receive.
