Abstract

Gene delivery mPEG Oligoethylenimine Polycarbonates derivative
A series of biodegradable mPEG-b-P(MCC-g-OEI) (PPO) copolymers were synthesized by grafting oligoethylenimines (OEIs) with different molecular weights to mPEG-b-PMCC. PPO600 and PPO1800 could efficiently condense DNA into nanosized particles (100–140nm) with positive charges. The in vitro gene transfection showed that the PPO copolymers had great potential as non-viral gene vectors, especially the PPO1800, which exhibited higher gene transfection efficiency than PEI25k in absence of serum in CHO cells.
