Abstract
The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia holds the type specimens of 400 species-level taxa of fossil vertebrates. Among them are 56 taxa whose types have never been figured, or have been incompletely figured. There are also plaster casts of two species, the original types of which (not owned by the Academy) were never figured and have been lost. This paper provides photographic illustrations of the unfigured types and a few previously figured ones for which there are new data to convey to the scientific community.
