Abstract
The statistics of photocounts in the back scattering enhancement effect is studied for a system of polystyrene latexes in water. The photocount distribution function is obtained for incoherent scattering and in the presence of a coherent component for which a few of the first moments are analyzed. It is shown that with decrease of the cumulation time the photocount distribution function goes over from a Poisson to a Bose - Einstein distribution.
